Minimum Requirements
The Affirmative Action Analyst is responsible for analyzing employment data for data validity, importing data into Affirmative Action reporting software, creating Affirmative Action reports, verifying validity of reports and training /assisting Human Resource staff in maintaining accurate data. This position provides data analysis and assists in Affirmative Action program implementation throughout the UPMC Health System. College degree or comparable experience and a minimum of one year Human Resource Experience required. Knowledge/experience in employment law, EEO or Affirmative Action would be preferred. Must possess high-level analytical skills and knowledge of HR functions including employment and recruiting processes, statistical analysis and HRIS databases, People Soft experience preferred. Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills are required. Must possess the ability to understand, interpret and apply Affirmative Action information to UPMC Health System. LS/KR
IN MY OPINION - If there were no racist, unconstitutional affirmative action policies, the person filling this position could be creating wealth in society and not redistributing it. UPMC would not have to create a department/position to take care of this, and that department/position could be dedicated to cardiology or dermatology or something related to HEALTH CARE. Also, the wages for this position are considerably higher than medical research positions within UPMC.
